Professional billiards team TS·JDX Heroes (hereinafter TS) clinched the title of the inaugural champions of the Professional Billiards Association (PBA) Team League by defeating the regular season's top team, Wellbeing Phoenix (hereinafter Wellbeing), in a thrilling showdown. Im Mi-rae (25) was selected as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the finals (championship decisive match).

On the 22nd, at the Special Game Field of the Goyang City Bitmaru Broadcasting Support Center, in the 'Shinhan Financial Investment PBA Team League 2020-21' Finals Game 7, TS defeated Wellbeing with a score of 4-1 (6-15 11-9 15-1 15-13 15-14), clinching the throne of the PBA Team League in their inaugural season with a final record of 4-3.

Finishing the regular season in third place, TS turned the tables on the second-place team, SK Rent-a-Car, with a 3-0 victory in the playoffs (PO), securing their spot in the finals. Despite facing the disadvantage of '1-win advantage' in the 7-match, 4-win championship match, TS managed to prevail over Wellbeing with a final record of 4 wins and 2 losses, claiming the title of the team league's inaugural champions. The prize money for the championship is 100 million Korean won.

Unfortunately, the runner-up, Welbank, received 50 million won. Despite starting the finals in a disadvantageous position with one loss, TS convincingly won the first match 4-0, evening the score to 1 win and 1 loss. From the second to the fifth matches, they exchanged victories and defeats twice, maintaining a tight balance of 3 wins and 3 losses until entering the seventh match of the day.

Especially in the tiebreaker introduced for the first time in the PBA, TS demonstrated strong teamwork, achieving victory in all three instances. The tiebreaker is similar to soccer's penalty shootout.

In a match consisting of 6 sets (1 men's doubles, 1 women's singles, 1 mixed doubles, and 3 men's singles), if the score is tied 3-3, the teams' five players compete, and the total points determine the winner. If the score remains tied, sudden death matches are held one-on-one according to predetermined order.

TS won both tiebreakers against SK in the PO 1st and 3rd matches. In the 6th match against Welbank, which was trailing 2-3, TS dramatically balanced the score 3-3 and then won the third tiebreaker 3-1, clinching the victory and securing the inaugural championship title.

Mirae Lee (25), who recorded a final record of 9 wins and 3 losses, was named the MVP of the championship, earning ownership of the 13 million won worth billiards table as a prize.
