Shinhan Korea, the owner of golfwear brand JDX, announced on the 19th that it has signed a licensing agreement with the global mixed martial arts organization UFC.
According to this agreement, Shinhan Korea has secured the rights to manufacture and distribute lifestyle sportswear and fan gear products under the UFC brand, including clothing, shoes, accessories (bags, headwear, etc.), in Korea and Japan. It is also planning to open UFC brand stores in Korea and Japan in the first half of next year.
Tracy Bleczinski, Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products at UFC, expressed her delight, stating, "We are very pleased to be able to offer fresh and exciting UFC fan gear, lifestyle apparel, and accessory products to fans through our licensing agreement with Shinhan Korea." She added, "Shinhan Korea has successfully collaborated with renowned designer brands in the past, and we have high expectations for their collaboration with us and the launch of the UFC product line in their first UFC brand store."
In response, Hancheol Kim, CEO of Shinhan Korea, stated, "Through influential sports brands like UFC, we will promote Korean trends throughout Asia and provide fans with the best sports experience befitting the reputation of UFC."
