[Apparel News, Reporter Kyungcheon Oh] Shinhan Korea's flagship brand, 'JDX,' is experiencing a surge in sales thanks to the stellar performance of sponsored golfer Sungjae Lim (24).
Lim took the lead in the first round of the season's first major tournament, the Masters, held at Augusta National in Georgia on the 8th (Korean time), shooting a 5-under-par 67 to surpass Cameron Smith (Australia) by one stroke.
According to 'JDX,' Lim's achievement of becoming the first Korean to top the leaderboard in Masters history has sparked great interest among golf fans, especially leading to numerous inquiries about the products he wore that day flooding into 'JDX' stores.
A 'JDX' official stated, "Sungjae Lim, who claimed runner-up at the Masters two years ago, is off to a good start in this tournament as well. We provided him with a lot of functional clothing from 'JDX,' hoping it will help him achieve good results."
Meanwhile, 'JDX' has been receiving a positive response in the US market, including securing a presence at THE PEBBLE BEACH, considered one of the world's top three heavenly golf courses, in January this year. With plans to expand to 1,000 distribution channels this year, the brand aims to implement various localization strategies, including sponsorship of local players and tournaments, in the US market.
