JDX, the golf casual brand of Shinhan Korea, announced on the 11th that the performance of professional golfer Sungjae Lim (24), sponsored by the brand, on the American Professional Golf (PGA) stage, led to an increase in product inquiries and weekend sales.
Lim competed in the first major tournament of the PGA Tour season, the Masters, held at the Augusta National Golf Club (par 72) in Georgia, USA. He started the tournament as the first Korean player to take the sole lead, and in the final round, he scored three birdies and six pars to finish with a score of 3-over-par 75, totaling 1-under-par 287 for the four rounds. This placed him tied for 8th with a 9-shot deficit behind the winner, Scottie Scheffler (USA).
Lim achieved his second top 10 finish at the Masters, following his runner-up finish in 2020, securing an entry into next year's Masters for finishing within the top 12.
JDX has been sponsoring Lim's attire since 2018.
Hancheol Kim, CEO of Shinhan Korea, stated, "Sungjae Lim has always praised the comfortable and good quality clothes provided by JDX for the past 5 years." He added, "We plan to continue supporting him by providing designs, colors, and materials that he prefers, hoping to contribute to his continued success."
Taking advantage of Lim Sungjae's performance this year, which marks the brand's third year in the US market, JDX plans to expand its distribution channels to 1,000, aiming to enhance its brand recognition and achieve increased sales through promotions and distribution networks for players and tournament sponsorships in the US.
