Shinhan Korea, led by CEO Hancheol Kim, continues to solidify its market presence with its golf wear brand 'JDX.' Since 2011, JDX has secured its market share with annual sales in the 100 billion won range and achieved its highest revenue last year.
Reaching its highest sales ever from April to mid-June, the company rewarded all employees with performance bonuses.
By surpassing its first-half target sales before the end of June, JDX exceeded expectations for the first half of the year.
Thanks to the golf boom, JDX has been experiencing sustained growth over the past three years. Positioned as a mainstream golf wear brand, JDX primarily targets practical individuals. The brand operates a total of 260 stores, including 190 dealerships and 70 retail outlets. With exports to the United States entering its third year, projections suggest reaching a scale of $1 billion this year. By offering golf wear that combines functionality and fashion, JDX satisfies various customer needs with a 1:1 lineup of the Performance Series, represented by X1, and the Lifestyle Series, represented by X2. The brand enjoys a strong customer base of men aged 45 to 55 who prefer understated golfing looks.
JDX, known for its strong masculine image, has been expanding its women's line to reflect the growing trend of female golfers. Alongside the 10-year veteran model, Seungwon Cha, the brand has been featuring model Haena Song for the past three years, with women's products accounting for 40% of its offerings. This year, the brand launched the "Ice Shot" line of functional products tailored for golfers who enjoy playing even in hot weather, receiving positive feedback. As of June 20th, sales of summer products have increased by approximately 6% compared to the previous year.
The flagship store in Seongsu achieves annual sales of 5 billion won, playing a pivotal role as an antenna shop. Plans are underway to expand and relocate it to a space of about 300 pyeong in size. JDX also operates large flagship stores in Seocheongju, Gangdong, and Gasan, with plans to open a new flagship store in Uiwang in September. With the consolidation of inefficient stores last year, efficiency has significantly increased as the focus shifted to existing stores.
In the second half of the year, JDX plans to apply SI renewal to new and flagship stores, providing an even more pleasant shopping environment. While maintaining its distribution channels, the brand plans to increase efficiency by injecting the same level of inventory as the previous year. In the online sector, JDX operates both its own mall and external malls. The brand has introduced an online exclusive line on its own mall and achieves annual sales of 11 billion won through the operation of discontinued products on external malls. JDX aims to achieve sales of 130 billion won by the end of the year.
