Excellent Store Visit - 'JDX' Gasan Branch

본문

'JDX' Gasan Branch recorded significant growth with sales totaling KRW 22.6 billion, marking a substantial 33.5% increase compared to the previous year. Although the business environment in Gasan's commercial area began to revive last year, this growth rate is remarkable for being the top-ranked dealership nationwide.

Managed by President Dongseok Jung, who has 30 years of experience in clothing retail, the Gasan Branch has been involved in various clothing genres such as men's wear, women's wear, sports, and casual wear. He has maintained a relationship with 'JDX' for over 10 years. In addition to the Gasan Branch, he operates three other stores including Guro Branch and Yeouido Branch.

The reason for his long-standing relationship with 'JDX' lies in the management philosophy of Hancheol Kim the CEO of Shinhan Korea. President Jung stated, "CEO Kim emphasizes that when the franchisees grow, the headquarters naturally grows as well. It is a company where headquarters support for the stores is very proactive. Without the support from headquarters during this COVID period, it would have been difficult to achieve such growth."

President Jung took a proactive approach to revive the difficult store operations amid the COVID situation. Starting from the second half of the year before last, he began holding large-scale prize events twice a year, and gift events are held every other month. Last year alone, he invested KRW 23 million worth of prizes and gifts. Headquarters also continued to provide active support.

These efforts received positive responses from customers. During the event periods, sales increased by 10-20% compared to usual. President Jung revealed, "By offering large prizes such as massage chairs, both regular and new customers increased significantly. Even though it's the fifth year of store operation, the number of new customers increased by 250-300 per month last year."

Product improvement and support for inventory also had a significant impact. It is reported that actual sales of new products last year increased by about twice the usual amount, leading to a significant increase in average sales per customer.

Customer service and management are exceptional as well. President Jung mentioned, "In the past, I unintentionally divided customers into different grades for service. It was the biggest mistake. Every customer should receive equal and special treatment. This is something I emphasize the most to my employees. Today's sale can wait. What matters is whether the customer leaves satisfied."

He continued, "The Gasan Branch has a significant portion of Chinese customers. Small kindness may seem trivial, but it greatly impresses them. This has a considerable impact on word-of-mouth and associated sales."

Investment in employee welfare and benefits is also prioritized. Most employees are long-term workers. Last year, with the significant increase in sales, they even provided bonus vacations for a week each in January. President Jung stated, "Just as stores need to thrive for the company to thrive, taking care of employees and ensuring their satisfaction is crucial for the growth of the store. We will continue to invest more in improving employee welfare."

The 'JDX' Gasan Branch aims for over 20% growth this year as well. To achieve this, they plan to strengthen continuous marketing investment and develop differentiated services to enhance customer satisfaction.
